Ja’Nee Spencer, Class of 2002

Ja-Neé Jackson Spencer is a 2002 alumna of Western High School. While at Western, she was a member of the Student Government Association. Upon graduating from Western, Ja-Neé was one of the recipients of the Incentive Awards Program at the University of Maryland, where she studied and received her Bachelor of Science in Family Studies in 2006. She decided to further her education and obtained a Master of Science in Social Work from Morgan State University in 2012. Since that time, she has served as a social worker, assisting many youth and their families in the Baltimore area. After realizing how much she enjoyed working with families, Ja-Neé became a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in 2014. In 2018, Ja-Neé became the CEO and Owner of Peaceful Minds Health Services LLC, a community-based behavior health program that offers intensive outpatient, outpatient, and psychiatric rehabilitation programming for adults and minors in South Baltimore.

Ja-Neé is happily married to Carlos Spencer. Together, they own Golden Jackals Youth Football and Cheer, Inc. a nonprofit organization servicing inner city youth in West Baltimore. They are the parents of three children, Jacara, Carlos Jr., and Carmen.
