Bette Chambers was an interior designor. She decorated the Bellona Avenue home that was based on the 1948 film “Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House”; she was a master gardener and won awards for her floral arrangements; contributed numerous works to “Arts in Bloom” at the Walters Art Museum; founding member of the Cross Country Garden Club. |

Dr. Rebecca Byrd, Class of 1975, passed away on April 8, 2010. "Becky," as she was affectionately known by her classmates at Western, went to medical school and then on to become a doctor of Internal Medicine. |

Winifred (Urban) Alt, Class of 1931, passed away on February 4, 2010 at 5 a.m. After graduating from WHS she attended Goucher College (1931-1933), Maryland Institute College of Art (1951-1952), and received her Bachelors of Science degree in 1955 from John Hopkins University.
