If you have a photograph you are welcome to send that as well. You may pay tribute to a friend or loved one regardless of how many years have gone by.

It is with a very, very heavy heart that I post this information. This was my best friend for many years. Sherryl passed away on Tuesday July 19, 2011 from cancer. She is survived by two adult children, a grandson, one sister and one brother, along with a large group of other family members and friends. She is shown here on the left with her first born, Troy, named after her mother who also lost her bout with cancer many years ago. | |

In 1928 she graduated from Goucher College and began teaching Biology and General Science in New York and Maryland. She earned a Master's degree in Cyology and Genetics from Cornell University in 1930. While at Cornell she worked under Barbara McClintock, who would go on to earn a Nobel Proze for genetiss in 1984 for work done during the time Helen assisted. |

Ms. Hurtt passed away on January 1, 2011. She was employed as a Clerical Associate at Johns Hopkins Hospital for 40 years. |

Dr. Rebecca Byrd, Class of 1975, passed away on April 8, 2010. "Becky," as she was affectionately known by her classmates at Western, went to medical school and then on to become a doctor of Internal Medicine. |
