Greetings Western Sisters and Friends
Welcome to a new beginning with Western High School Alumnae Association, Inc. (WHSAA, Inc.)!
On July 1, 2010, our new fiscal year began, and with it came new tasks to be completed, new ideas, and most importantly new Executive Board members.
I, Aimee Ayers, Class of 1989, am the 2010-2012 President of Western High School Alumnae Association. When I graduated from Western High School I was unaware of the Alumnae Association. Approximately 5 years ago I was introduced to WHSAA, Inc, by a friend and former Executive Board member, and since that time I have been involved in positions, events and activities for the Association and Western. Throughout the years, I have noticed the minute number of members, (both active & financial), we have had in comparison to the number of graduates. One of my primary goals for WHSAA, Inc. is to increase its membership to resemble that of other prominent city school alumni associations. There are thousands, amongst thousands, of Westernites around the country, so there is no reason our membership should not surpass those of any other school, or even come close.
WHSAA, Inc. looks forward to establishing a working relationship with the Student-Parent Involvement Network (S.P.I.N.), (formerly known as the P.T.A.), the school's community partners, and the Western High School administration and staff, to achieve greater things for our "Dear Western." During this school year, WHSAA, Inc. plans to expand on past activities and bring forth new activities, all with the anticipation of accomplishing many things.
Please visit this site frequently to stay connected to the Western High School Alumnae Association, Inc. WHSAA, Inc. includes every graduate, not just a few.
