Greetings Western Sisters and Friends
On July 1, 2011 the new fiscal year began for the Western High School Alumnae Association, Inc. (WHSAA, Inc.). During this fiscal year we will continue to focus on TRADITIONS. Our Unity Month 2011 theme was “Our History is Our Strength” and we haven chosen to expound on that in preparation for our upcoming All Years Reunion. As a result of a brief poll, our All Years Reunion and ongoing theme for the year will be “Our History is Our Strength: Celebrating & Embracing Quiet Dignity”.
I would like for each and every alumnae to reminisce about their days at Western and recall any TRADITIONS that existed at that time. How will the current students learn Western traditions? Who could do it better than ALUMNAE. I challenge all alumnae to visit and volunteer at Western High School frequently, support the efforts of the school’s various clubs and teams, as well as participate in WHSAA, Inc. activities.
Please continue to visit this site and update your contact information with us so that you can stay connected to the Western High School Alumnae Association, Inc. If you are visiting the site for the first time please share your thoughts or better yet, become a financial member of WHSAA, Inc. to receive all the benefits of membership. Feel free to spread the word that we exist and membership is open to all graduates of Western High School. Your membership allows WHSAA, Inc. to provide support to Western High School. During the last fiscal year WHSAA, Inc. was able to offer three scholarships to the Class of 2011, begin beautifying the school’s restrooms, provide an Ice Cream Social for students with perfect attendance, co-host with the Student Parent Improvement Network (S.P.I.N) an Appreciation Dinner for the school’s administrators and staff, and much more.
I have appreciated receiving comments, suggestions, and information from alumnae, so please continue to do so. On behalf of the entire Western High School Alumnae Association, Inc. we look forward to achieving great things for our “Dear Western”.
Sisterly Love, Aimee
